The core function of the Business Development Group is to seek strategic partnerships that will dramatically enhance annual turnover and provide a sure path for sustained corporate growth. The Group creates, develops, and manages strategic relationships and alliances as appropriate with local and international clients, consulting firms, highly-reputable international EPC companies, manufacturers and principals in order to expand the company’s capabilities, operations, and services.
To help the achievement of corporate objectives Business Development examines opportunities in Kharafi National’s key markets and gathers intelligence in the form of advanced information on potential projects in engineering, construction, infrastructure development, facilities management, operations and maintenance.
Business Development then evaluates these business opportunities with a view to assessing their full potential, and discusses proposals prepared by the Tendering Department to ensure that they fit with the corporate sales strategy.
The Group also maintains and analyzes records of customers, their satisfaction levels, and their requirements, in order to prepare for up-coming opportunities. It also assesses the strengths and weaknesses of its competitors so as to be in a position to avert potential threats in Kharafi National’s markets.
Business Development is heavily involved in devising the detailed strategy for the growth and expansion of the company’s main business lines in industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical, power, water, wastewater, sewage treatment, communications and the environment. This planning requires the input of multi-disciplinary management skills and a great deal of creativity in order to prepare the enterprise for new and unforeseen challenges and keep it on a path of sustainable growth.
