Kharafi National ' s fabrication services manufacture a wide range of heavy industrial products for the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, power, water, and related industrial sectors in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf Region.

The company designs, manufactures and installs pressure vessels, pressure piping, heavy structural steel works, tanks, skids and evaporators, among a host of customized heavy-duty products for large-scale projects in Kuwait, the GCC, and Iraq.

Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards. In addition, the company’s workshops are the only fabrication facilities in Kuwait certified by the USA’s National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors as qualified to meet the standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Kharafi National is authorised to apply the ASME U, U2, PP, S stamps and National Board’s NB stamps to its products.

Kharafi National has two manufacturing sites in Kuwait, in Shuaiba and Mina Abdullah. Having just completed a major expansion and investment programme, its fabrication facilities are the most advanced in the region, and include assembly areas that enable the company to fabricate extremely large works.

The Shuaiba facility is situated on a 30,000sq m yard, very close to the major refineries, petrochemical and fertilizer plants in the Shuaiba Industrial Area and near to the major highways leading to Saudi Arabia and Iraq. These facilities consist of four workshops, with a total covered area of 8,000sq m, containing a variety of automatic welding and fabrication equipment.

The second facility is a newly-established unit in the Mina Abdullah Industrial Zone, covering an area of 150,000sq m. Its equipment includes conventional and highly-sophisticated CNC machines, a 6 x 6 x 32m PHWT furnace, profile cutting machines, surface preparation and painting facilities, and enclosed vaults for radiography work. These superb facilities provide Kharafi National with the capability to manufacture the large engineering products being demanded for the strategic industrial developments currently taking place in Kuwait and neighbouring Arabian Gulf countries. 

Kharafi National’s comprehensive and highly-advanced fabrication facilities are complemented by a complete range of the skills required in design, fabrication and assembly. The company invests in the most skilled engineers and managers in the industry and its manufacturing sites are each operated by several hundred highly-skilled tradesmen. Design, fabrication and assembly activities are controlled by advanced computerised management systems.
