Kharafi National’s Sulaibiya Testing Laboratory was established in 2004 to support the operation and maintenance of the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment & Reclamation Plant in Kuwait.
Sulaibiya WWT&RP was constructed to treat domestic wastewater and deliver good quality reclaimed water for use in industrial and agricultural applications. It is the largest plant in the world using the reverse osmosis technique to reclaim domestic wastewater.
Though Sulaibiya Testing Laboratory is an integral part of Kharafi National, it operates independently under its own executive management in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 17025 and the ISO 9001. It carries out tests that conform to the standard methods of water and wastewater testing. To ensure independent and unbiased factual test results that are fully traceable, the laboratory uses an Oracle-based laboratory information management system.
Sulaibiya Testing Laboratory contains state-of-the-art equipment that is maintained to the highest levels of confidence by regular calibration traceable to national and international standards. The laboratory runs continuous quality assurance programs monitored through analytical quality control charts to ensure process and equipment capability, and is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by UKAS as lab No. 4208.
